Tocumen is a city situated in Panama, rich in culture. It has a lot to offer its visitors and is a city with a wide cultural diversity. Travelers can explore the city as per their convenience. The local bus service is a much preferred way that travelers adopt because of its reliability. There are two types of bus services which operate from Panama City — the highway buses, and the city buses. The buses in Tocumen are frequent and some are even air conditioned. The local fare charged by the buses is USD $1/hour. The buses are preferred only for local travel, not for a journey to the Tocumen International Airport as the rates are sky high. If you choose to travel by the new Metro Bus you should get the “Metrobus Card” made in advance as it is mandatory for these buses.

Hiring a Taxi is the choice of travelers who prefer comfort and don't care about the money being spent. The taxis operate according to the zones and the charges are negotiable, depending on the location and time. Taxis are advisable if you can speak Spanish. While traveling to and from the Tocumen International Airport it is preferable to share a taxi.

Renting a car is the best way to travel around the city as you can explore the city with a free mind. A car is also preferred because the roads of the city are pretty nicely laid out and well maintained. When renting a car it is necessary that you have a drivers license. The laws are the same as in Europe and US. Cars can be rented out directly from the Tocumen International Airport. Renting cars is a travel method chosen by most of the international travelers. Air travel is mostly used while entering or leaving the city. Tocumen International Airport is the most used airport for air travel. It is the busiest airport in all of Central America and has been functional since 1947. Its covers an area of 224,200 sq ft and is a flight destination of 21 international as well as national airlines. Tocumen International Airport is the only airport in Central America having two runways, a total of 7,784,328 passengers have taken a flight from here in the year 2013.

The club is situated on the first floor of The Hard Rock Hotel in Panama City. BLING is a mash up of party destinations like Ibiza, Las Vegas and Miami all under one roof. The club has bar tables, VIP area and a dance floor to party.

Adventure Trip to Tocumen

This is for those travelers who love adventurous outings and choose to travel paths less trodden by man. A perfect trip is organized by the Gamboa Rainforest Resort in Panama city. The trip is a 9 day adventure trip from the day of arrival to the day of departure. Undoubtedly, a true adventure trip that would be cherished forever. This trip is the prefect retreat from your monotonous life and a chance to experience nature in its bliss.

The schedule followed by the trip would be as follows:-

Day 1 - Upon your arrival at the Tocumen International Airport you are greeted and taken to the Gamboa Rainforest Resort, situated on the tranquil and mesmerizing shores of the Panama Canal.

Day 2 - In the morning you are greeted by a Naturalist Guide. You travel in a special expedition boat across the Gatun Lake and Panama Canal. Keep your eyes open as you would catch glimpses of many rare animals. The views of the Panama Canal are exceptional. Later in Gamboa town a picnic lunch is organized.

Day 3 - You travel to El Corotu located on the coast of Madden Lake. A dugout motorized canoe awaits you for travel to Chagres River. Chagres National Park, the largest National Park covering a 320,000-acre area. Later at the Embera village you are greeted with local dance & music. If you're fortunate enough you might have the chance to get painted with a natural dye by the locals. A lunch at the nearby waterfall is organized.

Day 4 - A kayaking excursion to the Chagres River is undertaken. Lunch is organized at a local restaurant. In the evening you fly to Chiriqui called as “Panama’s breadbasket” containing panoramic highland sceneries. You are transferred to Boquete a countryside wrapped in flowers, extraordinary cloud fores and coffee plantations. The night is spent at Finca Lerida Lodge.

Day 5 - The morning starts with a tree trek on a zip line to explore the rainforest. Discovering a whole new perspective of wildlife. Those not willing to enjoy the rainforest by zip line can go on a tour of the Chiriqui River.

Day 6 - A 4 hour journey to Bocas del Toro the province of coral reefs. You are then taken to Isla Colon via a boat. Your first destination would be a rock bulging from the Caribbean Sea called Swan's Cay. Boca del Drago is where you would spend the evening searching for colorful starfish. The night is spent at Bocas Inn.

Day 7 - You depart by boat from the Bocas Inn to Bastimentos National Park, a marine national park. Later you arrive at Cayman Trail. You get to visit local communities to buy handicrafts, followed by lunch.

Day 8 - A flight takes you back to Panama City, where you visit Casco Viejo, a Marine Exhibition at Culebra Point and a visit to the Biodiversity Museum. The night ends with a farewell dinner.

Day 9 - The trip ends and you are dropped off at the Tocumen International Airport 2.5 hours prior to your flight timing.
